Discover Malta – Part 2

Last year, I wrote the article Discover Malta after visiting 3 times my boyfriend who was doing an internship in this small Mediterranean island. We moved there in August 2017 and since then, I had the time to explore more the country. Discover here my favorite places! (This article doesn’t include the places already mentioned in the first article).

Mosta is the city where I live since September 2017. It’s well known in Malta thanks to the impressive church on the Rotunda square. The dome of the church is the 4th biggest dome IN THE WORLD!

I have lots of pictures of this church because it’s so beautiful, and I’m still amazed everytime I walk close by!

Ghajn Tuffieha

Golden bay is probably the most known beach in Malta, but I prefer the beach of Ghajn Tuffieha which is less crowded. It’s a nice place to go, to relax on the beach and to swim in the sea. And the sunsets are SO beautiful there!

San Anton Gardens

The San Anton Gardens, in Attard, are the gardens of the Maltese president’s residence. I love this place! There are lots of trees, flowers, fountains, animals… it’s very peaceful. The perfect place for a pleasant Sunday afternoon walk.

Birgu is one of the “3 cities of Malta” and it’s the most important. It’s also named “Vittorosia” meaning “the victorious” because it’s the city where the Knights of Malta won against the Ottoman Empire during the Great Siege of Malta (16th century). You can discover more about the Maltese history by visiting the Fort Saint Angelo.

Mellieha is located in the North West of Malta. My office is there! The city center is full of shops, restaurants, pubs, and there is a beautiful church. There is also a nice beach.

If you’d like to snorkel in Malta, I highly recommend you to do it with Sea Shell dive center. I had an amazing experience with them!

Comino is pictured like a little paradise but I have to admit that I was a little bit disappointed. There are way too much people at the Blue Lagoon, the main spot of the island. I decided to avoid the crowd and I walked to St Maria’s bay which was quite nice!
